Gala dinner in honor of the 60th anniversary of the founding of IBNS

On October 22, 2021, an interesting event took place in the ancient city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch located in the south of the Netherlands, the administrative center of the province of North Brabant.
About 35 IBNS members and their spouses / husbands gathered at Nul73 Lunch en Diner Café to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of IBNS. With the participation of the IBNS President and members of the Directors Board, representatives of 15 countries from Europe, Asia and America gathered.

The meeting was attended by:

Pamela West – current president of IBNS, UK
Sev Onyshkevych – First Vice President, USA
David Frank – Director, Region US / Canada Central time zone and east, Bermuda, aka IBNS Treasurer, USA

Directors At Large:

Stane Straus from Slovenia, Said Hakim Hamdani from the Netherlands.

Presidents of regional cells:

Pamela West (London, UK)
Oleg Banachek (Netherlands)
Jaime Sanz (Spain)
Serhiy Trushyn (Ukraine).

In the middle of the event, we were joined by Jos Eijsermans, the organizer of the World Banknote Fair.

For the first time in the history of IBNS, 3 representatives from Ukraine attended the gala dinner at once. The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, the guests exchanged news and shared their plans and expectations for the upcoming World Banknote Exhibition, to which everyone gathered.

As mentioned above, the meeting was attended by the vice-president of the IBNS society, an honorary member of the Ukrainian Chapter Vsevolod Onyshkevich from the United States. We presented him a gift from Ukrainian collectors – a book about modern banknotes of Ukraine, authored by Maxim Zagreba and Sergey Yatsenko.

We express our gratitude to Said Hakim Hamdani for the efforts made to prepare and conduct the gala dinner. As a proposal for future celebrations, I would like to introduce self-presentation of each participant and a certain regulation that will allow the meeting to be held even more efficiently.
