Today, November 21, 2021, at the age of 75, Petro Fedorovich Ryabchenko, a collector, researcher of the history of bonistics, author of numerous catalogs and articles, a man of broad views and hobbies, left us for the best worlds.
Collectors from Ukraine, near and far abroad knew him well. He popularized and studied Ukrainian bonistics, numismatics and phaleristics.
Petro Ryabchenko is one of the first organizers of major international meetings for collectors, held in the House of Trade (Kyiv), the assembly hall of the KPI, the Sports Palace, the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
He is the author of the three-volume “Catalog of paper banknotes and bonds of Ukraine, Russia, USSR, CIS countries”, one of the first and most complete catalogs on this topic.
Constantly caring about the development of a network of collectors’ clubs, Petro Ryabchenko was one of the initiators and founders of the Association of Numismatists of Ukraine, using his connections, he held several collectors fairs in Kyiv and founded traditional gatherings in the capital of Ukraine every last Saturday of the month.
Petro Ryabchenko was a regular participant in collectors gatherings held in Poland, Germany, Spain and other countries.
We will remember him as a sincere and frank person, a fan of his work.
